Thaipongal Vizha 2015

Switzerland

"A cute Indian Classical Dance Performance"

Concept:

Our main concept of this performance was to thank our Lord Ganesh & Lord Shiva for giving us the knowledge of Indian Classical Dance.

Our Lord Ganesha is a god of success and good luck. We all Hindus believe that he is the one who remove all obstacle and difficulties. We worship Ganesha before beginning with new thing.
That was our first performance, therefore we thanked him through dancing.

Lord Shiva, also known as Mahadeva, is the main god in hinduismus. He is respected as limitless, formless and unchanging. Our Shiva is known as destroyer, because he removes all bad things and evil from the world. Shiva is the king of Dance. His other name is Natarajah which means he is the cosmic dancer who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for the god Bhrama to start the process of creation. Before starting with our each movements of Indian Classical Dance we pray to Lord Shiva.

Typ of dance:
